So Here are the Band
…… the engine room of the sound
Dave Miller
Lead Guitar and Vocals
Dave is our left handed Fender Strat master adding a really cool country/blues feel to our music. Dave has performed all over the world travelling widely with his job and is a great fan of Led Zeppelin and the great Jimi Hendrix.
Peter Holyoak
Lead Guitar and Vocals
Peter originally hails from the North-east of England. He joined his first band when he we 20 and, as lead singer, played the club circuit 4 nights a week. His work as an industrial chemist took him to Qatar in the middle east and he formed a jazz trio – this was Qatars first live British expat band! Staying in the middle east he moved to Dubai where he formed the duo No Big Deal. He came back to the UK and settle in Beverley in 2016.
Clive Bailey
Drums, vocals
Cllive is our token ‘southerner’ and has played with a number of top function bands, a show orchestra and has his own trio in which he plays keys. He also joins with Nick in The Murphy Ridge Band.
As well as being a great drummer and singer, Clive is also a good keyboard player, and understands musical theory and harmony better than most of us. So his contribution to our harmony sound and structuring of our arrangements is fundamental to who we are
Nick Oldridge
Lead vocal, guitar and bass
Nick is an important name on the local music scene playing in a number of bands and is a great multi-instrumentalist and singer. He’s key in the the organisation of open mic nights and musical collaborations in the Beverley area.
He plays bass, guitar and keyboards and also dabbles in a bit of percussions. He’s a great singer and has loved the harmony of the Eagles since they first started recording in the 70’s.
Nick was the man who stitched the band together in early 2022, and is the driving force behind the ongoing development of the band.
He also plays for The Murphy Ridge Band as well as doing his own work.
Andrew Kneeshaw
Bass, Keyboards and vocals
Andrew learned his trade playing the clubs as a resident backing musician when he was a teenager. After playing in a few bands around the East Yorkshire area he moved to the Midlands to continue with covers and function bands. He’s done work for musical shows, is an experience acappella barbershop singer, directing a 30 man chorus at several national events.
Since moving back to Yorkshire, as well as playing for the Flyers, he performs in a barbershop quartet and chorus, and plays in a local trio with a folk bias – The Bayhorsemen of the Apocalypse.
